Common Uses
Package Considerations Before Ordering
A workshop package starts with the activities inside it—not a generic square-footage price. Define vehicles, tools, equipment, working clearances and occupancy before choosing the steel layout.
Usable clearance
Eave height is not clear working height. Discuss lift travel, overhead-door hardware, framing depth and utilities with your equipment supplier and design team. MBR coordinates these requirements with the building manufacturer before configuration and pricing.
Doors and circulation
Provide actual vehicle and equipment dimensions, door sizes, quantities and locations. A framed opening does not automatically include its overhead door, operator or installation. Confirm which supplier and contractor handle each item.
Envelope and working conditions
Insulation, moisture control, ventilation and heating depend on the intended use and applicable requirements. Welding, woodworking and vehicle service may have additional professional design needs. Electrical, plumbing and equipment installation are separate from a basic material package.
Foundation and future work
Lift pads, mezzanines and special equipment can affect structural and foundation requirements. Tell the qualified designers about them early. Do not assume a generic slab or a future expansion is adequate without project-specific review.
Plan the Complete Building Scope
Use these guides to identify package inclusions, professional dependencies and separately contracted work. MBR can review your requirements before procurement; no construction scope is assumed included.
